Cloud Office’s AI division crafted a long-term AI strategy. Combining cloud infrastructure, machine learning, and IoT, the collaboration is positioning Nasekomo to lead with end-to-end digitalization and biological optimization within insect farming.
The Challenge
As Nasekomo scales in the insect farming industry, maintaining high standards for quality and production efficiency is paramount. With factors like larval growth, feed variation, and environmental control critical to production outcomes, manual and semi-automated methods were not sustainable. They needed a cohesive AI strategy to unify data and processes across all systems.
The Solution
We designed an AI framework to forecast biological responses and optimize environmental factors, ensuring ideal growth conditions. Initial implementations include computer vision models for counting and sizing of larvae, providing immediate production insights.
The Result
The long-term AI strategy and computer vision models marked a milestone for Nasekomo. The counting and sizing models provide valuable production data, while the strategic framework brings long-term benefits. As further components are implemented, Nasekomo’s adaptive system will enable data-driven adjustments, reducing waste and enhancing productivity.
